Job Title: Project Enumerator

Position Type: Contract (Field-based)

Reports To: Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Enumerator will be responsible for collecting high-quality and reliable data in the field from female entrepreneurs in targeted Nigerian communities. This role involves conducting structured surveys and interviews to capture relevant mental health indicators and socio-demographic data. Enumerators must be detail-oriented, respectful, and capable of engaging sensitively with participants in their local context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct face-to-face interviews using digital or paper-based questionnaires.
  • Ensure ethical practices, including obtaining informed consent before any data collection.
  • Record responses accurately and verify completed surveys for completeness.
  • Engage respectfully with participants in local languages or dialects (Pidgin English and Yoruba/Igbo).
  • Report daily progress and challenges to the field supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle data securely.
  • Participate in debriefing sessions and ongoing training as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum National Diploma (ND); Bachelor’s degree (NYSC member).
  • Prior experience in survey administration or community data collection.
  • Familiarity with digital data collection and facilitation tools.
  • Fluency in English and at least two major local languages (Yoruba/Igbo and Pidgin English).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to remote areas and work under field conditions.
